What is penile raph?

The penile raphe (or median raphe of the penis) is a visible line running through the underside of the penis, extending from the scrotum to the tip of the glans penis. It is a natural anatomical feature, often more pronounced in uncircumcised men.

The penile raphe is formed during fetal development when the two sides of the penis fuse together. It is composed of a thin strip of skin and muscle tissue, and it is believed to have no significant function in sexual arousal or performance.

Although the appearance of the penile raphe can vary from person to person, it is generally considered a normal and healthy characteristic of the male anatomy. It is not associated with any medical conditions or health concerns.
